That said, we always recommend running it in the Strategy Tester first and optimising the settings to suit your own account size and risk appetite before putting it on a live account. Frequently Asked Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. 3 license keys are granted automatically when you create a LazyAlgos account, with no payment details required and no expiry. If you need more than the free keys and do not want to go the broker route, Golden Alpha can also be bought outright for $50 for a full set of 20 keys.
Do the free keys expire?
No. They are lifetime licenses. Each key binds to one MT5 account number the first time the EA runs, and stays with that account.
Can I rent Golden Alpha monthly?
No. Golden Alpha is free with an account or a one-time $50 purchase. There is no monthly rental option for this EA.
Does it work on prop firm accounts?
It can run technically, but we do not recommend it for evaluations, as its style sits awkwardly with the tight drawdown rules most prop firms enforce. Golden Hermes or Golden Tiger are purpose-built for funded accounts and are the better fit there.
What if I already have an IC Markets account?
